Rabri is a traditional Indian dessert made with the condensed mil. It originated from the Indian subcontinent and is made by boiling the milk for a long time on a simmer flame. Ingredients to make Rabri

  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 bread slices
  • A few saffron strands
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Method To Make Rabri

  • Discard crusts from bread slices.
  • Grind these slices in a processor and prepare fresh breadcrumbs.
  • Boil milk in a pan.
  • Add bread crumbs condensed milk and sugar altogether.
  • Simmer on a high flame, stir continuously for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from the fire.
  • Add saffron and cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Keep it in a refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  • Rabdi is ready to serve.

It is ideally served chilled. You can also serve it with another Indian dessert which is named Jalebi. Rabri and Jalebi is a very famous combination of India and especially in UP. It is very easy to make dessert and you can easily make it at home if you are having a kitty party or any kind of friends or family gathering.
