Padmavati Movie Story
The story as the name suggests, revolved around Rani Padmavati who is married to a noble king of Rajasthan Maharwal Ratan Singh. They were living a happy married life until Sultan Alauddin played by Ranveer Singh comes to know about the mesmerizing beauty of Rani Padmavati and gets obsessed with her.
Sultan Alauddin invades Mewar to get Rani Padmavati and this is what the film is all about. It is said that Rani Padmavati commits suicide, which then was called as a Jauhar along with the other women of their city before the Sultan and his soldiers conquer Mewar.
The Story of Padmavati movie is based on a poem Padmavat written by Malik Muhammad Jayasi and revolves around the beauty of Padmavati, her married life and the obsession of Sultan Alauddin for her.
