Ingredients:

  • Maida (flour)– 500 gms
  • Kismis (raisins) — 3tbsps
  • Khoya–1kg
  • Cooking oil–6 tbsps.
  • Almonds– 200 gms (cut into thin strips)
  • Sugar-500 gms.
  • Water–200 ml.

Method

  • Take out 6 Tbps of Maida and oil, mix them using your finger, and make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
  • Make soft dough from this mixture using some water. When the dough is ready cover it with a damp cloth and set it aside.
  • Now take another pan and fry the Khoya in it, fry it till it is brown in color. Mix the sugar in it when it is cooked. After adding the sugar, don’t heat it much and take it out from the flame. Keep it aside and allow it to cool.
  • Now take a small ball of dough and make a small chapatti out of it, the chapatti must be a bit thicker than the normal chapatti.
  • Stuff the khoya mixture in it and fold it. Twist the edges and seal it. Make sure that your filling does not ooze out.
  • Now heat the oil in a deep pan and fry your Gujiyas. Fry them till they are golden brown in color. Keep the flame simmer.
  • Take out the fried Gujhiya and keep them on the sieve to soak out the excessive oil. Spread them out on the tissue paper.
  • The yummy Gujhiya is ready to serve.
