Set the mood by using proper children’s birthday party invitations. If you are considering computer printed cards, use graphics such as a large red apple, yellow school bus, or pencil cutouts. Let your kids help you decorate, this way they will also enjoy and you will get help at home .. Use large paper cut outs of fruits and animals, big piles of books, globes and maps. Place a large chalkboard and write a fun message, such as “Back to School Time”.

Dressing up as a favorite character from your childhood, or as what you wanted to be when you grew up like a fire fighter or a superhero .You may also ask them to come in their casual wear.
Activities and Games for Childhood Theme Party
Games Ideas for a childhood theme party include 20 questions, bingo, drawing games, relay races (such as a get ready for school race pack lunch bag, collect homework, put on back pack, run to “school house”), a paper airplane contest, school-themed pictionary or charades.
Game-1 This is ‘Name place animal thing’ kind of a paper game .The format is given below. You can make amends as per your choice. The guests will have to fill up the blanks in 3 minutes.
Game-2 You can also hold a G.K quiz round for the guests and keep a prize for each correct answer. The questions can be based on various school subjects like biology, chemistry, maths etc and general knowledge. Make sure you choose interesting ones.
Game-3 This is an activity game. You can divide the ladies into teams and Ask them to dress up a member as a school girl and accomplish the following tasks-
1. Cover the notebooks and keep them in the bag 2. Solve a maths/current affairs exam paper 3. Write an essay on my mother. The candidate will have to recite the essay in front of the chief guest.
Let the judges decide who is the best. Do not forget to provide the guests with stationery and other required stuff.
Game-4 This is a team game. You can cut some alphabets on chart paper and give them to the ladies and ask them to make the biggest word possible out of those alphabets. The time limit can be of 3 minutes.
Game-5 This is a team game. You can give some paper sheets of different colours to the ladies and ask them to make as many items from them as possible. This is basically paper origami game .

The members can also wear capris with t-shirt and make two braids with red ribbons, wear shoes instead of stilettos and carry school bag instead of purses.
