We clean our houses regularly but the time is crucial now. Its Corona Time and the deadly virus is spread all over the world.

How To Clean Your House For Corona Virus

We don’t have any particular treatment or cure for this virus and thus the only option we have is to take good precautions. Prevention anyways is better than the cure. So here in this post, I will tell you a few steps you should follow to clean your house for the Corona Virus.

You have to clean the high-touch surfaces of your house with a good cleaner which claims to kill 99.9% germs. Normally our floor cleaners are that effective. So you can take any floor cleaner with 99.9% germ kill capacity and put it in a spray bottle. Then take a paper towel and spray the cleaner on it. Now clean the high-touch surfaces of your house like

  • The doorknobs
  • Light switches
  • Popular drawer handles
  • Cupboard handles
  • Remote controls
  • Fridge door
  • Bathroom faucets and flushers

How often should I do this?

You should do this every day. Especially if you are still going out or anyone from outside is coming to your house and touching things.

Will wipes work?

Yes. Look for sprays or wipes that promise to kill 99.9 percent of germs.

What if I don’t have cleaning sprays or wipes?

If you don’t get the wipes or the cleaning spray, which is quite likely in such a situation. You can also use the soap water and add a few caps of Dettol in it.

What’s a high-touch surface?

All those places where you and your family leave a million fingerprints every day. (Clean bathroom surfaces last.)

How thoroughly do I need to clean them?

Do not be lazy here, it’s about you and your family’s health. Please clean the surfaces thoroughly. You do not need to rub the places for hours but just make sure that you cover the entire surface and wipe it with the disinfectant.

Do I need to wear gloves?

It is recommended to wear gloves, but it’s okay even if you don’t. Wash your hands vigorously before and after cleaning the house.

If I’m using gloves, do I really have to wash the gloves afterward?

If you are using the disposable ones you don’t need to wash the gloves, you can throw them in the dustbin but if you are using the reusable ones, you have to wash the gloves first and then your hands. Also, make sure you do not touch the gloves from outer side to remove them.

You have to wash your hands even after removing the gloves.

What else can I do to keep the Corona Virus away from my home?

First and foremost, do not go outside if its is not really important. Go out only and only if it is urgent. Staying at home is the best possible way to avoid this infection but if you have to go out for work or some genuine reason, make sure that-

  • You take off your shoes outside
  • Wash your hands and sanitize them immediately as you enter the home.
  • Do not touch anything or anyone in the family until you wash your hands and change your clothes.
  • Put all your clothes to wash daily.

Corona Virus is a deadly virus and has already spread worldwide. WHO has declared it as a pandemic and only our carefulness can save us from this deadly virus.

Be watchful and be safe.
