Mrs. Twinkle Khanna (Akshay Kumar’s wife) is witty and has been working as a columnist in Times Of India for long. She has a wonderful style of writing, her wittiness and satirical style of writing made me her fan and I have been a regular reader at her blog too.
Finally Mrs. Khanna is out with her book Mrs. Funny bones. Full of wit and her day to day observations, Mrs Funnybones is all about the life of the modern Indian woman—a woman who organizes dinner each evening, even as she goes to work all day, who runs her own life but has to listen to her Mummyji, who worries about her weight and the state of the country. Based on Twinkle Khanna’s super-hit column, Mrs Funny bones marks the début of one of our funniest, most original voices.
Her writing is simple yet effective when it needs to be. I especially admire how she doesn’t shy away from writing about things that matter in a light-hearted manner which manages to hit the right note.
This 233 pages gem of a read is now available for sale at Amazon. The book is an unusual collection of incidents narrated in a witty manner. Her articles are very an interesting and gives me a quirky read. She definitely has a knack of showcasing everyday stuff under a humorous light. I like the way she talks about the man of the house, the prodigal son and the baby in the book.
